FRENCH TOAST can be Yummy but YOU should be prepared for a Snow Storm!

In New England there seems to be a popular joke that when a Snow storm is coming the main things that should be purchased are Milk, Bread, and Eggs and although I love French toast realistically I felt that a snow storm should be taken more seriously. We never truly know how many inches we may be getting so why not be truly prepared!

I wanted to share a list of a few items that may help the storm become a little easier to deal with!

****Please note if you have any Senior Citizens in your neighborhood, be kind and reach out and make sure they will be safe and comfortable during the up and coming storm.
If you are out snow shoveling, please pace yourself! If you can have somebody assist you or keep an eye on you please do so! The American Heart Association cautions that snow shoveling may carry increased risks for a cardiac event and if you know of any dogs that are left out throughout the harsh winter weather, say something.
BE THEIR VOICE!

Preparing for a snowstorm is crucial to ensure your safety and well-being.

Here's a checklist of things you might need:

7. Stay Informed:

   - Monitor weather forecasts and warnings

   - Sign up for emergency alerts from local authorities

8. Travel Plans:

   - Avoid unnecessary travel during the storm

   - If you must travel, inform someone of your plans and expected arrival time

9. Pet Care:

   - Have enough pet food and supplies

   - Ensure your pets have warm shelter

- If they are outdoor breeds, make sure their water does not freeze. (and consider bringing them in when it gets too cold)

Remember, it's essential to stay informed about the weather conditions and follow any instructions or advisories from local authorities. Always prioritize safety and be prepared for the possibility of power outages or other disruptions.

FRENCH TOAST RECIPE!

For my fans of French Toast! Here is a recipe I use often!

To make this easy French toast recipe:

  1. Whisk egg, vanilla and cinnamon in shallow dish. Stir in milk.

  2. Dip bread slices in egg mixture, turning to coat evenly on both sides.

  3. Cook bread slices on lightly greased nonstick griddle or skillet on medium heat until cooked through and browned on both sides.

Voila, easy French toast.

ENJOY! Be Safe Out There!
